Columbia, MD – Voyant Health unveils OrthoWeb, Version 1.5, at the annual meeting of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). OrthoWeb has been completely rebuilt using cloud technology from providers such as Salesforce and Amazon.
OrthoWeb is a highly secure, web-based environment allowing surgeons to easily move and share images outside the clinic. Patient images are uploaded from the clinic to a surgeon’s OrthoWeb account, giving them secure access to images in order to template and plan surgeries from home, the hospital, or the operating room. OrthoWeb can be used from any internet-connected PC without installing stand-alone software.
“The cloud technology platform allows us to deliver OrthoWeb to our customers using a completely new model”, says Zeev Glozman, CEO of Voyant Health. “OrthoWeb is now offered as a monthly subscription without an annual contract. This subscription model eliminates the costly and complex process of purchasing and installing monolithic software bound by strict licensing agreements. Now surgeons and IT administrators can rethink how they manage their software and workflow between the clinic, the home office, the hospital, and OR.”
With an OrthoWeb subscription, surgeons can also use TraumaCad™ to continue planning activities. OrthoWeb includes TraumaCad’s complete digital templating functionality that allows surgeons to perform measurements, fix prostheses, simulate osteotomies, and visualize fracture reductions.
“The new version of OrthoWeb significantly improves workflow beyond the clinic”, says Randy Ziegler, Director of Marketing for Voyant Health. “For example, the OrthoWeb Feeder automatically uploads images and medical data to a surgeon’s account from their x-ray system or pulls it directly from PACS. Surgeons don’t have to worry about having case information when they want to plan outside the clinic. Now they can plan from anywhere, even at home.”
OrthoWeb has also been enhanced with new collaboration and case management features. OrthoWeb users can form professional communities by inviting colleagues and reps to collaborate on cases—keeping everyone informed of surgery locations, schedules, implant details, etc.
Voyant Health will be showcasing the new OrthoWeb at AAOS, March 9-13, 2010 in New Orleans, LA at the Morial Convention Center, Hall A, Booth #169. For more information about OrthoWeb, visit www.voyanthealth.com. To sign up for a free, 30-day trial, go to www.orthoweb.com.
